Abandoned chairs project

Street seats is a project developed by Bade Stageberg Cox. The 50 chairs, are found abandoned on the streets of New York and been repaired and given a new life with a coat of taxi cab yellow paint. Like the city’s residents, the chairs are an eclectic mix, migrating throughout the fair (The Armory Show was due in May) during its five-day run. The bottom of each chair is stamped and documented with the date and location it was recovered. Even though this fair was due in may, I think the project is worth showing, and if you are interested in one of the chairs they are still available for purchase. Contact Bade Stageberg Cox: streetseats@bscarchitecture.com If there is no red dot in the picture, the chair still needs a new home.

LOVE this. Living in San Francisco there are always random chairs, tables, whatever left on street corners. What a great idea. They look so awesome all together. Thanks for this, totally inspiring.
