This store design feels like walking on a cloud. I imagine walking on a cloud gives a bouncing feeling, just like the shape of the fabric that covers most of this store. It is just a temporary design, going from November 2011 to February 2012, so if you are in Budapest you can still visit Nanushka store and have a look at the beautiful design. Daniel Balo, Zsofi Dobos, Dora Medveczky, Judit Emese Konopas and Noemi Varga are the creative souls behind the idea. They were picked out by the fashion designer and put together in a team; they had never worked together before, they were given a short deadline, low budget and most important they had to leave the interior unharmed. Their inspiration comes from classical wedding tents and barn weddings, and aims to emphasis the brand’s core values and contrast the sometimes overwhelming racket of the urban experience. It´s used 250 sqm of fabric to cover up the walls and ceiling, and for the floor they have sliced firewood. In some areas they have used logs, as they are sprouted up from the floor, to display accessories. The design is harmonic and delicate.

Lyse deilige soverom i minimalistisk innredning. Ingen sengeramme, kun madrassen rett på gulvet. Synes det rett og slett ser ganske befriende ut.
Bright lovely bedroom in a minimalist decor. No bed frame, just a mattress on the floor. For me it looks pretty liberating to end your day in this kind of free space. All the pictures are from the great tumblr site Hom-e.

An inexpensive kitchen can quickly get a more exclusive appearance by choosing a high-quality material like marble for worktops and wall panels. Marble is a beautiful natural material, and the surface adds a wonderful touch to the room.

Disse bildene viser hvordan bevare strukturen og karakteren til en gammel bygning med moderne løsninger. Den indirekte belysningen over de skreddersydde skapene er rett og slett perfekt. Løser problemet med stygge spotter. Og gjør rommet lyst og fri for “lamperot” slik at takkonstruksjonen blir uberørt. Bilder er fra den spanske arkitektfirmaet Pedra Liquida. Min spansk er heller dårlig så jeg er ikke sikker på om disse bildene er fra deres egen kontorplass eller arbeid for en klient. Men uansett, jeg synes dette er en perfekt løsning!
Think these images show how to preserve the structure and character of an old building with modern solution. The non-direct lighting over the custom made cabinets is just perfect. Solves the problem of ugly spot lights. And makes the space bright and clutter free and leaves the beautiful roof structure to rest. Images is from the Spanish architecture firm Pedra Liquida, since my spanish is non existing I am not sure if this space is their own office space or work for a client. But anyway, I love it!

Styling and interior with base in only one color do not have to be boring. Playing with contrast in shapes, materials and texture can make a composition and room interesting and beautiful.

Ikke en leilighet jeg umiddelbart hadde klassifisert som en loftsleilighet, det kommer nok av at vi ofte forbinder loftsleiligheter med skråtak og lavt under taket som så absolutt ikke er tilfelle her. I denne gamle fabrikkbygningen i Torino, Italia, er det store flotte vinduer, en mezzaninetasje innrammet i glass og høyt under taket. Mezzaninen skaper et åpent rom og gjør boligen lys og luftig. Innredningen er nøktern, men fargesterk i sitt språk. Prosjektet er utført av UdA .
Not an apartment, I immediately had classified as a loft apartment, probably because we often associate loftapartments with sloping and low ceilings which definitely is not the case here. In this old factory building in Turin, Italy, it´s large beautiful windows, a mezzanine framed in glass and high ceilings. The mezzanine creates an open space and makes the home light and airy. The home is decorated with a strong and powerful expression, yet sober and formal. Project by Uda.

Dette bordet består av metallbokser som balanserer på hverandre. Både lekent og minimalistisk design. Tror ikke jeg ville tippet at det var skandinaviske designere som stod bak, men det er det. Det er de svenske jentene Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von der Lancken og Anna Lindgren i designgruppen Front som har laget disse morsomme sidebordene. Som nattbord tror jeg virkelig disse hadde gjort susen!
This table consists of lacquered metalboxes, and as you can see the units are balancing eachother. It´s playful and minimalistic at the same time. I woulden´t have guessed it was scandinavian design, but it is. The creators is the swedish girls Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von der Lancken og Anna Lindgren from the designgroup Front. I think they´ll be perfect as a bedside table.
Ingenting er så tidløs som et kjøkken i hvitt. Du synes kanskje det er litt kjedelig, men jeg er ikke enig der. Hvitt gjør rommet lyst og vil alltid være en positiv faktor hvis du skal selge hjemmet ditt. Med en hvit base kan eieren (du eller den neste) alltid sette personlig preg på det endelige utseende. Nothing is so timeless as a kitchen in white. You might say its a bit boring, but I do not think so. Makes the room bright and will always be a positive factor if you are selling your home.
