Dan Yeffet and Lucie Koldova have designed a new series of coffee tables, consisting of three low tables with base in solid oak and glass satin tabletop, available in either white or black edition. The different levels adds a dynamic sense to the lounge. I often think coffee tables tend to be a bit boring in their form and structure, but these ones do not go in that category. A great favorite among coffee tables.

Nandos is a casual dinner chain who specialise in portuguese-style chicken. And as many other they have seen the value in creating an environmental experience as much as a food experience. The interiors are dominated by wood with turquoise details. Even some yellow is added to break up the monochrome palette and makes it a bit more playful. The high ceiling is painted black and stays anonymous. The wooden structure coming down gives the space a clever and great visual character. Tables and chair are customised by Andy Thornton and are given surfaces to fit the interior perfectly. It is not the first time Blacksheep gives great personality to the restaurant business, by other they have done the design to a number of Jamie Oliver’s restaurants, the latest one was his new concept Union Jacks in Holborn, London. Both Union Jacks and this Nando’s in Ashford, Kent, is given retro elements, but still they express two totally different brands with totally different style.

This is true craftsmanship. With attention to details, I am amazed what 1 architect and 6 craftsmen at Københavns Møbelsnedkeri (Copenhagen cabinetmakers) is able to produce. This is just a selection of their kitchens, but they also make bathroom cabinets, lighting and furniture to name a few. My favorite is the first kitchen with the fold out doors to hide all the appliances, clever solution that looks great. And the gray color of the wood is just the way I like it. This would definitely be my dream kitchen. For more wooden kitchen inspiration have a look here. And all our content on kitchens you find here.
Now I know where to see a movie next time I am in Stockholm. Designstudio 1:2:3 and Kristoffer Sundin have designed the interior and the graphic identity of Rio cinema in Stockholm.. They have carefully transformed it into a modern space, without changing its original appearance. The new aim with the space was to create a design functional for different range of activities. The cinema houses different activities, beside showing films it is a venue for seminars, theater, musical performances, installations, opera shows and other cultural events. The furniture and lighting is adaptable and can be changed into single tables with light over each table, or you can make it in to one large seating group with all the lamps in a cluster. Tables and light are specially designed for this space. Check out Rio`s event program here.

Are you a Macoholic, this should be something for you. A nice little accessory for your workstation. Helps you organise your stuff, and most important of all, it looks cool and trendy with its wooden finish. Workerman sells it for 15 usd.

It is all about white and is all about wood, in a great combination. It is a very calming palette, consistent of airy white, grey concrete, brown leather and oak wood. No surprise the homeowners are an architect couple, you can see they know their way around with materials and solutions. Concrete and wood is one of my favorite combinations.

Parliament – a creative company that does it all, but my interest is in their headquarter office. I guess it’s no surprise that this office space appeals to me. The combination of wood, concrete, industrial softness and a atmosphere more reminiscent of a home environment than an actual office always get my interest. Once its different than our standards for how an office should look like I’m inspired. This space reminds me more of a playground for adults, than an office. I think it’s very exciting with the new trend in office spaces, and we see more and more offices decorated with the same philosophy that this office.
