Green walkway

Some images just makes you inspired. This is one of them. A green walkway, just makes you want to take off your shoes and run on it, doesn’t it? It looks like this is from a art project/installation in France. The walkway goes all the way through a small village. The site where I found it Gaelle Villedary is only in french, so I don’t understand much of it. But I think we all can agree on that this is a beautiful concept. Photo by David Monjou.

Vertikale hager

Who wouldn’t love to have a “green” indoor wall like this? Vertical Gardens is such a great addition to shops and office interior. It’s amazing what living organisms as this can do to a space. The gardens stand in great contrast to the minimalistic architecture. All these images are from a company called Vertical Garden Design. The company was started by the Swedish landscape architect, Michael Hellgren. This is what they write on their site about the concept:
“GROWING PLANTS ON A VERTICAL SURFACE HAS BEEN POSSIBLE AFTER STUDIES OF NATURAL VERTICAL LOCATIONS — PLACES WITHOUT SOIL WHERE IN NATURE THERE MAY BE A GREAT ABUNDANCE OF PLANT SPECIES. THE TECHNIQUE IMITATES THESE LOCATIONS, SO IT ALSO FUNCTION WITHOUT SOIL, HAVING THE BENEFITS OF MAKING THE SURFACE VERY LIGHT AND EASY TO TAILOR TO ANY GEOMETRY.

Winter still keeps a tight grip here up north, and there is a long time to spring. One of my favorite things I like  in a garden both winter and summer time is visiting birds. And how better to invite them for visit than with these beautiful bird feeders options from danish Eva Solo.

Seeds of love

Funnet via bloggen Husligheter.

Putt løker og urter i glassgrukker, utrolig stilig. Funnet via BlackEiffel.
